Poetry, favorite quotations, and journal entries. My inspiration is this quotation by Loren Eiseley:
"Everything in the mind is in rat's country... Nothing is lost, but it can never be again as it was. You will only find the bits and cry out because they were yourself...

It's four in the morning. Who will you call?
"Is there someone in your life whom you would feel comfortable phoning at four in the morning to tell your troubles to? If your answer is yes, you will likely live longer than someone whose answer is no."
Troubles? Help maybe, but not troubles. I don't have any friends that wouldn't be asleep at four in the morning, not any longer at least. Maybe twenty years ago on New Year's day when I'd believe the Peruvian marching dust was in charge at their place. Bail me out of jail or get me a ride home because something weird happened, but not to bend an ear. I never did that in any of my past life, and doubt I'd start now. How 'bout you NanChu?

I kept thinking about the people I hope would feel free to call me. by the way, this book, Flourish, is life-affirming.
